A Day With First Responders

A Day with First Responders, hosted by The Arc of Butte County, is a FREE, family-friendly community event designed to bring first responders and the people they serve together in a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment. 🚒🚓🚑 Guests can meet local first responders, get an up-close look at emergency vehicles and equipment, enjoy demonstrations and activities, and connect with incredible organizations and resources from throughout our community.

At the heart of this event is connection. For individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, children, and others who may experience unique barriers during an emergency, an interaction with a first responder can sometimes feel overwhelming or unfamiliar. A Day with First Responders creates an opportunity to meet, learn, ask questions, and build familiarity before an emergency ever happens.

It’s a day for our whole community to come together, have some fun, learn from one another, and help create a Butte County where everyone feels a little more understood, connected, and supported. All ages and abilities are welcome, and the event is completely free to attend! 💛
