A fairy-themed bike ride from Chapman School to the Barn at Meriam Park, followed by a party at the Barn, to help save the El Rey Theatre and its historic Art Deco fairy murals.
Back by popular demand, the Save the Fairies Bike Ride is returning! Join us for a family-friendly, fairy-themed bike ride from Chapman School to the Barn at Meriam Park, followed by a party at the Barn with music, refreshments, vendors, fairy crafts, a costume contest, and a raffle. Fairy costumes, wings, and decorated bikes are highly encouraged!
Why fairies? The historic El Rey Theatre is home to beautiful Art Deco fairy murals that are disappearing due to years of neglect, mold, and water damage. This event raises funds to help purchase and restore the El Rey Theatre, preserve its historic fairy murals, and transform the theater into a community-owned space.
