Chico History Museum

Chico History Museum is a free museum housed in the historic Andrew Carnegie Library in the heart of downtown Chico. Since 1986, it has provided the greater Chico community with memorable exhibits. The museum has also served as a classroom for thousands of area children and a reflective resource for adults seeking knowledge of all things Chico.

Step into the museum’s galleries and you’ll be transported through time. The exhibits, which change throughout the year, cover a wide variety of topics. From the history of Chico to the Chico Chinese Temple, from nostalgic images to native American baskets, from Chico’s natural wonders to local businesses, services and transportation, and even a topographic map of Northern California-there’s something for everyone.

Chico History Museum is a non-profit organization. Memberships are available. Donations are welcome.
