About This Event

The exhibition features 11 original 24" x 36" canvas murals created live during the Chico Day of the Dead Festival. Ten local artists were selected to explore their personal connections to life, death, and remembrance, culminating in a powerful collection that bridges tradition and contemporary local art.

Alongside these 10 individual works, the gallery features a special Community Canvas hosted and facilitated by Pedal Press, bringing hundreds of individual brushstrokes from festival attendees together into one cohesive piece.

Event Highlights

11 Original Murals: View 10 unique, locally created artworks alongside 1 collaborative community-painted canvas.
Support Local Artists: Original pieces are available for purchase directly through the monca gallery.
Reflective Space: Explore how our community finds beauty, connection, and healing in the transition between life and memory.
Artist Reception: Details and dates for the official artist reception will be announced soon.
