An opening reception for Unforgotten Stories: A Queer Anthology for Our Collective Memory will be held on Saturday, October 16th, 2026 from 3PM-8:30PM.

Produced by Stonewall Alliance of Chico and Museum of Northern California Art, UNFORGOTTEN STORIES features art works of our LGBTQ+ community.
Humans are storytellers. It's how we record the past, learn lessons, make meaning, form identities, and understand our place in the world. Censorship and narrative control of Queer and Trans histories, realities, and futures attempt to bury our existence but when we choose and hold the stories that define us, teach us and sustain us, we choose and hold power for ourselves.
The reception will offer drinks for purchase and will feature select artisan vendors as well as many exhibiting artists.
Opening receptions are always FREE and open to the public.
