Butte County Sheriff's Search and Rescue

The Butte County Search and Rescue Team is an ALL-VOLUNTEER, non-profit, non-tax-supported auxiliary team of the Butte County Sheriff’s Office. Our primary purpose is to provide skilled search and technical rescue services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to the residents and visitors of Butte County.  We respond to many incidents including searches for lost and missing persons, technical rope rescues, air rescue, swift water and diver rescues, mountain rescues, and wildfire and flood evacuations.  We have been serving Butte County and all of Northern California since 1966.
